Pistil Stitch Flower

Well, it's been about 3 months since my last post here. Wow. 

I had to put my embroidery on the back burner for awhile dealing with life and also moving to a new city. 

But I am ready to get back into it and start stitching again!

For the few of you who may remember, I started a flower sampler. 

My next flower is with the pistil stitch.

I followed this tutorial to learn the stitch.

I drew a small circle as a guide and stitched around it. The pistil stitch is basically a a french knot with a tail.

Here is it finished with 3 french knots in the center.
