I really love the woven trellis stitch. A few months ago I posted this stitch on the Feeling Stitchy blog and since it reminded me of a flower, I figured I would add it to my flower sampler.
First off - I should say that I took these photos months ago. I wasn't sure if I would post them on the blog because the lighting is not my favorite. I took the photos outside with changing sunlight. But I really like how the flower turned out - so I decided why not post them!

Start weaving in and out of the straight stitches for each petal.
I filled in the center of the flower with french knots.
Added some leaves and a stem.
The finished flower reminds me of a poinsettia - anyone else?!?
